For many of us, it’s not surprising that we find ourselves home-bound on the most romantic night of the year. But Valentine’s Day can be a great opportunity to fill the home with love.
Everyone can decorate, wear red, share the food they love, and select — or make — a special Valentine card for each member of the family.
Older children and teens may also want to focus on the love for their mother and while a pretty piece of jewelry is nice, it is the love that is shown through helpfulness, tidying toys, drawing a picture, and heart-felt words on a card that really matters.
Here are a few more family-inspired ideas:
• Make a special breakfast together complete with heart-shaped pancakes, red berries, red napkins, and red roses.
• Plan a Skype call with loved ones.
• Create food together. Bake cookies and decorate them with the colors of love. Let everyone help to make their own favorite desert.
